“We preach to clarify the purpose of God so that it may be known, to reveal God’s ways so that they may be followed, and to exalt God in the hearts of people so that He may be glorified.”

Calling

Pastor Thabang felt a strong calling upon his life while doing Grade 11 at Phulung high school. He initiated prayers before and after classes that saw both learners and teachers attended in great numbers. God used him to preach and pray at the school assembly. The Spirit of God was evidently upon him. When he finished high school, overwhelmed by God’s calling upon his life, he went on to study Theology at the University of Pretoria. He has since successfully completed his studies and obtained honours degree (2010-2013).

God continued to establish him as a dynamic leader in the local church and within various institutions of higher learning.

Ordination

Thabang Letsie was ordained into pastoral office on 23rd November 2014 under the ministry of his spiritual father Pastor V.J. Kumalo, who is the senior pastor of New Covenant Christian Church (NCCC) in Kwa-Thema, Springs. Pastor Letsie served in the pastoral team of NCCC, contributing to the growth and vitality of the church. He was then released by his father to pursue his assignment, directed by his calling.

The Birth of the Church

While I was still studying, I started seeking the Lord about the purpose of my calling. I vividly remember sitting in the library and the Lord said “I have given you my Word, take the world out of my church” I knew from that point that moving the church from a romanticised gospel to a redemptive gospel will be central to my calling. Later that year, God planted a vision of a Christocentric church in my heart. I did not execute this vision immediately. I incubated it with prayer for 3 years.

I started a Bible Study and Prayer as preparation for church planting. Out of a deep commitment to the accuracy of the scripture, truthfulness of the gospel and effective prayer Resolved Church was birthed. Initially, it was called Messianic Fellowship Church. Our first official Sunday was on the 23rd October 2016.

Pastor Jacob and Mazote Msipha contributed immensely into our ministry outlook and personal lives. Their Apostolic covering is helping us to build Resolved Church according to God’s pattern. They both continue to speak over our lives, marriage and ministry.
